Specialized and Trained-in Techniques

Tiffany specializes in working with adults and couples, to address and treat mental and emotional concerns, in order to promote optimum mental health. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, to address sexual dysfunctional issues and fertility and other issues, such as anxiety (general anxiety, phobias and OCD), depression, stress management, self-esteem issues and body image.

GUIDED IMAGERY
Guided Imagery is a technique in which mental health professionals help individuals in therapy focus on mental images in order to evoke feelings of relaxation, is based on the concept of mind-body connection. Mind-body connection upholds the interaction between body and mind as one important factor in a person’s overall health and well-being. In guided therapeutic imagery, a person can call on mental images to improve both emotional and physical health.

COGNITIVE BEHAVIOR
Cognitive Emotional Behavioral Therapy (CEBT) is a form of CBT developed initially for individuals with eating disorders but now used with a range of problems including anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anger problems.

EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION and REPROCESSING (EMDR)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR was developed in the late 1980s by Francine Shapiro, a psychologist who noticed—while walking through a park—that her distressing thoughts seemed to soften when her eyes moved back and forth. Intrigued, she began studying the phenomenon and eventually created a protocol that combined eye movements with structured recall of troubling memories. Her early research showed promising results, particularly for people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Since then, EMDR has been widely studied, endorsed by organizations like the World Health Organization and the American Psychological Association, and has become a mainstream, evidence-based treatment for trauma.
