Depression

Depression symptoms include feelings of hopelessness, despondency, and anxious or angry, diminished interest in areas of one’s life and reduction of one’s sense of self-worth, feelings of sadness, or even numb, or difficulty making decisions. Depression can also lead to thoughts of death and suicide. Depression may range from mild and infrequent to intense and debilitating and it can affect your ability to function in your daily life.

Depression can be due to biological influences, genetics, or related to other health conditions and medications and other substances. It can also be due to unresolved trauma and grief, or current changes and stressful events.

Treatment may include therapy or a combination of therapy and medication.
