Sexual Abuse

Sexual abuse is any form of non-consensual sexual contact. Therapy can be very helpful for those who experienced sexual abuse in the past.

Those who have experienced sexual abuse may have also experience depression, anxiety, anger, self-harm, self-blame and shame, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), fear, sexual acting out, nightmares. Studies show that those who have experienced sexual abuse as a child may abuse drugs or alcohol later in life. Many will have difficulty enjoying or engaging in intimate relationships with others.
